Order CEW ButtonsThe CEW/FEW Steering Committee has ordered a 2.25 inch red button with “Fair Employment” "Campus Unity” “Quality Education" around a black triangle with a large equals sign in the center. The CEW web address and the union bug are wrapped around the rim of the button. 8,000 buttons have been produced for distribution, largely with the support of a generous grant from the National Education Association arranged by the Community College Association of the California Teachers Association. This grant helps ensure that all groups who need buttons can get orders of 50 to 300. Our coordinating funds do not permit larger quantities but we can arrange for your group to order large quantities at our discounted cost for manufacture and shipping (approximately 30 cents per button; call the North American Alliance for Fair Employment at 617-482-6300). We encourage all organizations which can to make a contribution to the central coordination efforts of the Campus Equity Week / Fair Employment Week Steering Committee to help cover other expenses. To facilitate this, a model motion for CEW/FEW support is on the "Tools" [link] page of this web site. The motions can be edited for presentation to an organization's Board or Council. Ordering: There are three ways to order buttons, 1. Call the North American Alliance for Fair Employment at 617-482-6300 with your request. You must have a shipping address so the buttons can be delivered in a timely manner. 2. Email your order to info@fairjobs.org with quantity desired, shipping address, and contact person (email address and phone number). 3. If your group is already committed to making a donation to support central coordination efforts, and you can do this through a credit card on line, please click the pay pal button. (If your group determines at a later date that it can support the the central coordination effort with a donation, checks can be made out to "Campus Equity Week" and mailed to: CEW c/o North American Alliance for Fair Employment (NAFFE); 33 Harrison Ave, 3rd flr, Boston, MA 02111, USA) If you prefer to make your contribution by check or if the suggested donation amounts listed above are a problem for you, please send an e-mail to the NAFFE office with your full contact information including mailing address and desired quantity buttons. Please do the same if you need to make alternative button arrangements. NOTE: If you have suggestions for other Button Designs, or have a design you have had made up, send the information (with a jpeg file if you have it) to CEW Central Coordinator, Chris Storer, <storerchris@fhda.edu>. He will put it up here so others can use your ideas. The CEW Steering Committee has some remaining 2003 CEW/FEW Buttons, a 1.75 inch red button with "Teachers' Working Conditions = Students' Learning Conditions" around the perimeter and "Campus Equity" in the center with a large equals sign. (See sample below) These can be ordered by contacting Chris. Again, donations to cover costs will be appreciated.
