©Linda Janakos. Similar parodies of the Geoff Mack song "I’ve Been Everywhere" have traveled through so many hands, including a motorcycle club, that it has generated a myth of its own. For college teachers, Bill Woolum originated the idea although he thought it was a Hank Snow song. He wrote up a parody of the song without the skit. The idea made its way to Los Angeles, where various Rabble-A Players tinkered with it and transformed it into a new piece. Tinkerers of the song include Lantz Simpson, Doren Robbins, and Fred Sigmund, all of who thought it was a Johnny Cash song. The skit idea and new version was originated written by Linda Janakos, who discovered it was a Geoff Mack song. The skit is included in a forthcoming documentary called I Love to Teach, and is featured in a forthcoming DVD of the same name. The DVD should be ready for CEW.©Linda Janakos. This skit is copyrighted and all rights are reserved. It is found in the Rabble-A Skit and Song Book, 2001.
