CEW PLANS

Curry College - Milton, Massachusettes

At Curry College the faculty will be sporting their equity buttons as they engage a week of activities. A Campus Equity Table will be set up every day during CEW with buttons, surveys for Part-time faculty to fill out, and petitions for the campus community to sign.

In a show of solidarity with the contingent faculty at Central Connecticut State who are planning to staff a tent for the duration of CEW, (story to follow in next e-bulletin) the Curry AAUP is sending a "tent warming" gift with card signed by members.

The faculty is also planning a reception in honor of the long-time contingent faculty on Curry Campus. Their many years of dedicated service will be recounted and recognized by faculty and students.
In addition to participating in Boston COCAL plans for CEW, faculty and students plan to sponsor a panel discussion on the "New Academic Labor System." George Wharton the new President of the Massachusetts Conference, and Barbara Gottfried, AAUP’s National field representative have been invited to speak.
