CEW PLANS

Rutgers University - Rutgers, New Jersey

At Rutgers the full and part-time faculty are working together to organize a multi-campus interactive discussion focusing on the erosion of academic freedom. Via the Teleconference Lecture Hall at the Scholarly Communications Center in Alexander Library speakers in New Brunswick will reach and interact with audiences at the Newark and Camden campuses. There will be audience space at all three locations. Carlin Romano, full-time faculty activist, fired from Bennington College after tenure was eliminated, will speak as will Mary Burgan, General Secretary of the AAUP. The event is planned for Thursday, November 1, 4:30 p.m.
