Campus Equity Week Home Page

The AAUP Arizona Conference is planning a special 8 page edition for Campus Equity Week, and we are having a meeting with 5 state legislators to outline the issues on Oct. 19.

These activities involve the following colleges:

Cochise Community College - Sierra Vista, Arizona
Pima Community College - Tucson, Arizona
University of Arizona - Tucson, Arizona
Maricopa County Community College District
Phoenix, Arizona

The special edition of our newspaper that will go to 23,000 faculty in higher education in Arizona, plus hand addressed copies will go to all large newspapers, and TV and radio station reporters. Copies will also go to members of the governing boards of most of the institutions of higher education in the state, and, in some cases, to their staff members as well. Copies will also go to our Arizona members of Congress, as well as some prominent business leaders throughout the state.

We have a website <http://AAUP.org>, althoug we don't have CEW activities posted on it yet. We may post some of the information from our newspaper on the website, shortly.

We have been very active in trying to protect whistle-blowers at the campuses in Arizona, including those not on the tenure track, and currently have information about whistle-blower protection on our website.
